Inscription AE56 Index Plan < Prev. Next >

Cross, set on a double plinth. Cast in concrete. On the base of the cross there are four screw holes suggesting there may once have been an inscription plate attached. At the centre of the cross there is a circular recess with a central eroded pin, suggesting a decorative metal disc that has been lost. The cross was swathed in ivy, but this has been removed.
