Wall Memorial - S. wall of the Nave, to the E. of the main door - in memory of Rev. John Andrews - d. 1754

In the middle isle lies interred
the body of the Rev.d Mr. John ANDREWS
Late of Farningham in Kent.
who after a painful illness,
departed this life
the 12 day of January 1754
aged 55 years. [On the apron:- Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord
even so saith the Spirit; for they rest from their labours]

[A Will of a Reverend John Andrews, Clerk of Farningham , Kent, dated 23 January 1754 is held in The National Archives, Kew.( PROB 11/806/188). Description: Rectangular white inscription tablet, on grey ground, flanked by two engaged split columns with egg and dart decorated capitals, surmounted by a roundel enclosing three cherub heads under a nowy headed cornice, on which rests a gilded flame. The whole rests on a shelf supported by two consoles. Below a black apron also bearing inscription. On the apron is a coat of arms. Roman caps, and 1/case lettering. Heraldry: Sinister - Argent on a Bend cotised between two Lions rampant Sable armed and langued Gules three Etoiles Or. Dexter - Ermine on a Chevron engrailed Gules three Escallops Or.
