to the memory of Robert CALCUTT who departed his life September 17 1837 aged 70 years [ Four lines of indecipherable text ] [BR - "1837 20 Sep CALCUTT Robert 70yrs North Leigh". Robert & Mary baptised 9 children in North Leigh between 1794 and 1811. A will detailing his family and properties may be found in the Oxfordshire Records Office. Robert had various pieces of land in and around North Leigh, and lived in New Yatt. Baptised North Leigh 1766, parents Harry & Anne, farmer. Harry born 1737 was the brother of Edward Calcutt, b.1735. Robert was therefore the cousin of the Robert Calcutt of Fairford (E10). ]
