Headstone with arc top. There is a raised cornice along the top edge of the stone. Decorative swirls around the first word. Similar to E15. There is a small flat stne in front of the headstone.
to the memory of Elizabeth BROOKS Daughter of Joseph and Alice BROOKS of Northleigh who died Sep 1 1847 Aged 11 years Also of Mary Calcutt BROOKS their eldest daughter who died Sep 25 1850 aged 15 years [BR - "1847 23 Sep BROOKS Elizabeth 11yrs Oxford" -- AND -- "1850 26 Sep BROOKS Mary 16yrs North Leigh". Alice Taylor CALCUTT was baptised in North Leigh on 25 May 1800, with parents Robert & Mary. Elizabeth and Mary were therefore granddaughters of Robert & Alice (E14 & E15) and cousin of James (E16). Elizabeth died just 3 months before her grandmother Mary. ]
