Headstone, oval top. Decorated with a wavelets pattern around top edge and down the sides. Arabesque curves swirl around the first word. In the top corners are scallop shells surrounded by a pair of four petalled flowers. The surface of the stone is beginning to laminate in places and will eventually fall away. With a body stone - plain with no inscription. The stonemason's name has been added to the foot of the inscription.

Exeter, is a Publican in Acre End, Eynsham, with wife Sarah, b. Botley, Berks, and daughter Sarah b. 1815, Northleach, and son William, b. 1811, Northleach. 1861 Census, William aged 50 living with father William aged 73 in North Leigh, where the son is assisting his Farmer father. 1871 Census; William is a Yeoman Farmer in Northleigh living with daughter in law Annie LORD and granddaughter Annie aged 16.
