Headstone, facing west, with ogee top having a shaped central cleft. It is backed by another stone (E56) facing east. There are traces of foliage decoration across the top of the stone. The main part of the stone contains a raised rectangular area with very eroded inscription.
In hope of [---] [----] [----] [----] Here lieth ye body of William COLLINS who departed this life February ye 26 [17-5] Aged [2]8 years
[BR - "1725 25 Feb COLLINS William". Baptism "1679 18 May COLIN William; (Father) Will. (jnr)" - so he would have been 46 years old, if this is the correct pair of records. However, the "8" in the inscription of the age is quite distinct. ]
