M. C. 1844 [ BR: "1811 16 Mar COX Thomas 48yrs" -- AND -- "1842 6 Apr COX Mary 77yrs North Leigh". There is a two year discrepancy between the burial register and the inscription for Mary COX. There is a note in the transcription of the burial register to the effect that some 1842 entries were repeated in 1845, but that the 1842 entries are the correct ones. In this case, it appears that the correct date is 1844.]
