Chest Tomb, over 1m. high. Grade II listed - "SP3813 21/164 - Chest tomb approx. 1.5m E of north transept and 2.5m N of north chapel of Church of St. Mary. Early/mid C18. Limestone. Moulded plinth and cornice; moulded inscription panel and corner pilaster panels". Badly eroded and flaked, particularly on the north facing top. There is no inscription visible on the south, east and west faces, but there is a very eroded inscription on the north panel.

body of [A]nn MONGE[-]

[BR: "1752 20 Apr MONGER Jane (Mrs)". The name in this entry may be wrong, as there is a will for Ann MONGER, made in 1748 and proved on 17 April 1752. She lived in London, but was a close family friend of the Perrots and requested in her will to be buried at North Leigh.]
