John LARDNER
who died April 30 1857
aged 57 years
also of Temperance his wife
who died May 24 1831.
Aged 29 years
This shall be my rest for ever here will
I dwell for I have [desired it ]

[BR: "1857 3 May LARDNER John 58yrs North Leigh" -- AND -- "1831 26 May LARNER Temperance 29yrs North Leigh". John married a widow, Mary Collins in November 1832, and they appear in the 1851 census where he is a Mason, and she is a gloveress. Mary was buried at North Leigh in 1885, aged 80, and is shown as having lived at Eynsham. John & Temperance baptised three children at North Leigh.]
